Originally, POX was only to cover content on the first two generations of Pokemon, while provide news on other generations of Pokemon. This was what the webmaster grew up with, and is considered by many to the "Golden Age" of Pokemon. Considering there was not handfuls of information on RBYGSC, this idea was good. However, that idea was scrapped shortly after POX's creation, and the site expanding to cover RSEFrLgDP.

POX was created in early March 2006, with the .com domain created in September of the same year, and began offering content shortly afterwards but it progressed slowly. In June 2006 after a 2 month haitus, we had upped our amount of content and news. November 2007 and we're still here, waiting patiently on the release of Pokemon Beryl/Topaz/Opal
