The most important feature of Pokemon Crystal that has lasted through the ages is the Battle Tower. Located west of Olivine City, players are allowed to battle myriads of trainers.

In order to compete in the Tower, you must have three Pokemon in your party no higher than the level you wish to fight at. These Pokemon cannot be holding similar items, or be similar Pokemon. Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-oh, and Celebi are barred from entering.

You will have to battle seven opponents in a row. You can heal after each fight, or save and quit. However, you must resume your challenge after you turn the game back on. Be warned, the trainer's Pokemon are extremely strong and know a variety of moves.

If you defeat the seven trainers, you earn battle points which can be used to buy items.
