Which each new Pokemon game comes newer Pokeballs that can be used. So far, three more have been introduced that can be obtained at any time throughout the game. There is a fourth Pokeball introduced called the Cherish ball but at this point in time it is only obtained through Nintendo's promotional events.

The first ball is the Dusk Ball. This Pokeball is black and green, and usually priced at 1000P. This ball is slightly better than the Ultra Ball if used at night, or in a cave. It is slightly worse than a Pokeball during the day.

A Pokeball only useful if you have less than 6 Pokemon in your party or you have just started on your journey is the Heal ball. When this pink ball captures a Pokemon, it will fully restore its HP and cure it of any status problem it may of gained during battle.

The last Pokeball is the Quick Ball. It is only useful is used at the beginning of the battle for a few turns. Works great if you've weakened Mesprit/Cresselia at one point and run into them again.
