Breeding has been a staple of Pokemon games since the introduction of Gold and Silver. It was the only way to obtain certain Pokemon, and helps obtaining the Pokemon with the perfect moveset. Getting the movesets right is the only reason to breed in Diamond and Pearl. You can still breed to get baby Pokemon, but those baby Pokemon can also be obtained in the wild. Also, all eggs hatch at level 1 instead of level 5.

This list will tell what Pokemon you need to put into the Daycare Center in Solaceon Town (on the left) in order to get the baby Pokemon (on the right.) You may need to attach certain items to get the breeding to work right.
