Pokemon Diamond & Pearl FAQ

Q: When is Pokemon Diamond & Pearl scheduled for release in Europe?
A: I read somewhere that put the United Kingdom release in June/July. I'm not sure on this.

Q: When is Pokemon Diamond & Pearl scheduled for release in the States?
A: Pokemon Diamond and Pearl is set for an American release date of April 22nd, 2007 (04-22-07). This may change, however.

Q: Where can I preorder Diamond & Pearl?
A: I do not know as of yet, but check your local retailer, watch the television, and check back here closer to the release date.

Q: Can I trade my Pokemon from previous games onto Diamond & Pearl?
A: Trading between Third generation and Fourth generation will be available, but you cannot trade back.

Q: How many new Pokemon are there going to be?
A: There will be 107 new Pokemon, bringing our total to 493.

Q: Does Diamond & Pearl take place in a new land?
A: Yes, the new land is called Sinnoh.

Q: Are there going to be any new legendaries?
A: Yes, there is a total of 14-15 that can be obtained between versions. And yes, they messed up the legendary tradition of having "unknown" genders, again. This time, there is a legendary that can be boy/girl.

Q: What version do you plan on getting?
A: Pokemon Diamond.
