![]() Giratina is an otherworldy Ghost Pokemon that completes the DP Trinity. Located in a temple like cave, it is very formidible and strong. When you obtain the National Dex, a new area will open up just south of Veilstone City called the Spring Path. You can find several wild Pokemon in this area: Golduck, Bronzong, Haunter, Staravia, and Bibarel. They are around level 50. At the center of this area is a lake, and a cave. You will need Rock Climb to get to the cave. To reach Giratina, you must pass through three rooms with a pillar in it without going into 30 or more rooms. When you come to a room with a pillar in it, read the inscription at the base of the pillar. You will see two numbers. The top one is how many rooms with pillars you've into, and the bottom number is how many rooms you've been into.
![]() Giratina knows Shadow Force, Earth Power, Heal Block, and Slash. It is quite powerful, and you'll be doing alot of healing. Putting it to sleep after you weaken it to red health is recommended. You'll need to heal and switch a couple of times before you can catch it. Return to where Giratina was later to receive an item.
![]() A visitor to the site recommends using a flying-type Pokemon like Staraptor to battle against Giratina. This is very effective, as the dual type of Flying and Normal negates Shadow Force and Earth Power. Alternatively, one could use Gengar or Mismagius to negate Earth Power and Slash due to their abilities. If Defog wasn't used, the fog in the area will greatly reduce Giratina's ability to land in a hit with Shadow Force.
