The Safari Zone makes its return in Diamond and Pearl. It is located in Pastoria City, and is still $500 to participate. You'll still be given 30 Safari Balls to catch as many Pokemon as you'd like.

There are 6 areas in the Safari Zone, and they are reachable by train. Select where you'd like to go, and the train will take you there. The grass has been replaced with a muddy marsh, and you can get stuck in the mud at times. There are many places where you can fish, as well.

At the Safari Enterance Building, you can go upstairs and look in binoculars for $100. If you do, you can see where various Pokemon are in the areas and then you can go and try to find them

The following Pokemon are available at all times (with Hoothoot/Noctowl appearing at night only)

The following Pokemon are available after you obtain the National Dex.
