![]() After you defeat the Elite Four, you can capture Groudon. Several areas will be experiencing droughts as a result of Groudon's presence. In order to save time, head to the Weather Institute. The man inside will tell you what route is experiencing having droughts. Head to the route, and the land will flash as a result of the increased sunlight. Groudon can be reached through Route 114, Route 115, Route 116, or Route 118. One of two cave entrances will appear somewhere in the route. Enter through one of these entrances, and you will enter Terra Cave.
![]() Unlike the Magma Hideout, Terra Cave is simple to navigate. At the back of the cave is Groudon. Walk in front of him to engage battle. A neat little graphic will flash across the screen that resembled the black markings on Groudon. He is at level 70 and will cause the sun to shine brightly in battle. Solar Beam will not require a charge, and so it can be used every turn. It will also weaken the power of Water-type moves. Weaken to red HP and put it to sleep. Unlike Kyogre, you cannot paralyze Groudon unless your Pokemon has the Static Body ability. Hurl Ultra balls until it is captured. If it wakes up, put it to sleep again. If the situation looks grim, you can run away. Groudon will still be there when you return. Kill it or capture it, and that's it.
