The rules for the Tower are similar to other parts of the Frontier. You can battle Lv. 50 or open level, where the Pokemon are at the next rounded level (if your highest is level 57, the opponet will be at level 60). No uber-legendary Pokemon may be used. Pokemon may not be holding similar items

There are four modes of play here. Each mode of play consists of seven contiguous battles against seven opponents.

The first mode, located on the far left, is home to single battles. You can choose three Pokemon and battle 1-on-1. After so many battles on this mode, you will face the Salon Maiden.

The next mode, second from the left, is home to double battles. You can select up to four Pokemon and battle 2-on-2.

The third mode, second from the right, is home to double battles. Unlike the double battles mentioned above, you actually team up with a NPC and battle against two other trainers. You'll be able to chose two Pokemon.

The last mode, to the far right, is home to wireless double battles. It is similar to the mode mentioned above. What's different is that you team up with a friend and battle computer trainers.

The single mode of play is the only mode that really matters. After you've obtain 35 consecutive wins, you will be challenged by Salon Maiden Anabel. She'll use against you an Alakazam, an Entei, and a Snorlax on your first battle. Alakazam has weak defense but high special attack, so a Pokemon like Snorlax would be good to use against it. A power water Pokemon against Entei (Gyarados/Blastoise), and a Pokemon such as Blaziken for Snorlax.

When you beat her, she will give you the silver Ability symbol.

If you return and go through the single mode 70 times, Anabel will challenge you again. This time, she comes at you with Raikou, Latios, and Snorlax. Nothing changes for Snorlax, a Blaziken with Sky Uppercut will surely get the job done. As for Raikou, and Pokemon that knows Earthquake but resists Electric-type moves would be useful. Latios, however, has a weakness to Dragon and Ice-type attacks. Walrein, Blastoise, Articuno, or Lapras with Ice Beam would be best bets; a Dragon-type Pokemon would only get creamed.
