Return to Walkthru | Go to Part 9

New Bark Town, Route 27, & Tojho Falls.

Head for Elm's Lab. He'll give you a Masterball. Deposit this into your PC ASAP. You might want to talk to your Mom and get any money if you need it. Fly to other cities and stock up on revives and max potions. Return back to New Bark with a Pokemon that knows Whirlpool, Surf, and Waterfall.

At the right edge of town is water. Surf here and head right. You'll be stopped by a man who claimes you've just entered Kanto. Head north a bit and enter the cave. Use water fall. Surf right and head down the water fall. Exit the cave.

Route 27

Pokemon: Tentacool, Tentacruel, Duduo, Dodrio, Raticate, Arbok/Sandslash, Ponyata,

Surf right until you hit land. Continue to head right and follow the brick bridge. Once your off the bridge, keep heading up. You'll face alot of trainers doing so. There is a smallhut with a woman inside about halfway up. She'll heal your Pokemon for you if you need so.

Grab the berry from the tree and continue north. You'll encounter more trainers. At the end is a building. Enter it. A man will ask to see your 8 badges. Show them to him and he'll let you go onto Victory Road. As of now, you can't go to the left or right hallways as two men block them. You'll have to com back later.

Victory Road

Pokemon: Graveler, Rhyhorn, Onix, Donphan/Ursaring, Golbat

The GS Victory Road requires absolutely no guide as it is very linear to get through. There are no traps, puzzles, or trainers here. Be sure to snag any items you see. Do not leave until you find TM26. As you try to leave... someone appears!

Rival
Pokemon: Sneasel Lv. 34, Kadabra Lv. 35, Golbat Lv. 36, Magneton Lv. 34, Haunter Lv. 35, Typlhosion/Feraligatr/Meganium Lv. 38

Prize: $2000

Remember the last time you fought him? Same thing, just faster.

Head on out and enter the E4 HQ.

Indigo Platue

Before tackling the Elite Four, I recommend several things. They are:

- Buy a lot of Full Restores
- Buy a lot of revives
- Train all your Pokemon until they are above level 45.

The Elite Four is no laughing matter. Be sure to stock up on many of those items. Before challenging them, bring along a team of Pokemon that know Fire / Ice / Eletric / Psychic /Dark / Rock / Ground / Fighting type moves. Particularly Flamethrower / Ice Beam / Thunderbolt / Bite-Crunch / Rock Slide / Earthquake and your choice of a fighting type move. Check our TM/HM list to find out where these are. When you have a good leveled team with those moves, its time to fight. To the right and up a bit is the stairs that will take you to the Elite 4.

Will
Pokemon: Xatu Lv. 40, Jynx Lv. 41, Exeggutor Lv. 41, Slowbro Lv. 41, Xatu Lv. 42
Prize: $4800

All of his team consists of Psychics, who are weak against Dark type moves. However, unless you have Bite/Crunch, this will be tough. His Xatu's are part Flying, and Slowbro has a part Water Weakness. Use Thunderbolt or a similar Electric move of them. Jynx and Exeggutor are part Ice and part Leaf, so use Flamethrower instead.

Koga
Pokemon: Ariados Lv. 40, Venomoth Lv. 41, Forretress Lv. 43, Muk Lv. 42, Crobat Lv. 44
Prize: $4400

Ariados, Venomoth, and Forretress are all weakened by Fire moves, and Flamethrower will no doubtly kill them in one or two blows.

Muk and Crobat are weakened by Psychic. Thunderbolt and Rockslide are good alternatives for Crobat, and Earthquake for Muk.

Bruno
Pokemon: Hitmontop Lv. 42, Onix Lv. 43, Hitmonlee Lv. 42, Hitmonchan Lv. 42, Machamp Lv. 46
Prize: $4400

Onix is weak against Ice Beam and Earthquake. I only recommend using the former once, as ou'll need in a later battle.

As for his Hitmon's and Machamp, Earthquake, Fly, or Psychic will make quick work on them. Watchout for Hitmonchan if it doesn't faint in once hit. It can easily take out Water/Flying Pokemon with Thunderpunch

Karenbr> Pokemon: Umbreon Lv. 42, Vileplume Lv. 42, Gengar Lv. 45, Murkrow Lv. 44, Houndoom Lv. 47
Prize: $4700

For Umbreon, use any fighting move. Vileplume and Gengar can be taken out with Psychic, or Flamethrower and Earthquake respectively. Fighting, Thunderbolt, or Ice Beam on Murkrow and Fighting and Earthquake on Houndoom. You might have to use the moves more than once because her Pokemon have high HP.

Lance
Pokemon: Gyarados Lv. 44, Dragonite Lv. 47, Dragonite Lv. 47, Charizard Lv. 46, Aerodactly Lv. 46, Dragonite Lv. 50
Prize: $5000

Gyarados is Water/Flying and will die instantly with one Thunderbolt. Charizard and Aerodactyl are similar, but Rock Slide is a good alternative.

If the Pokemon who knows Ice Beam is relatively fast, Ice Beam will make quick work of Dragonite due to its duel Ice-Flying types. Hammer away at them with Ice Beam. If the Ice beamer should faint or run of of Ice beams, use Rock Slide/Pychic as better alternatives.

When you defeat Lance, Oak and mary will appear and congradulate you. Lance will then take you to the Hall of Fame and register you. Now all you have to do is sit back and watch the credits. This is the end of part 1!

When you wake up, you'll be able to go to Kanto.
