Pokemon Omega X has come a long way. I never thought it would come this far, almost two years on the web. But, here we are going strong.

March 13th, 2006 is when the idea for a Pokemon-related website came into my mind. I had a good knowledge of HTML know-how and found a nice little black layout template somewhere on the web. (and by somewhere, I mean I forgot where). My childhood involved Pokemon RBY and GSC. There weren't a lot of informative fan sites on the 'net that offered a lot of information about either generation, so I thought to do it myself. At this time, we were hosted by a free company called Atspace, which is a wonderful free host. We offered a few tidbits of information on RBGS.

Between April and June of the same year, I forgot about the site and grew bored with it. So I left it to rot for three months. Then, summer came and I felt like working on it. At this time, I was fooling around with CSS and image-based backgrounded. Version 2 was born as a result of this. We started covering RS and FRLG at this time.

Around September, I looked into paid hosting and getting a domain name. September 11th, 2006 we obtained our current domain name. Version 3 was created as a result. We still have the domain name. We opened up our doors to DP and Mystery Dungeon.

Version 4 came up in late November, 2006. The site was a green and gray, almost looked futuristic. Content for Mystery Dungeon was dropped. The Pokedex project started up, but was then canceled. Each section had its own unique navigation menu, linking back to the homepage where a full navigation menu could be seen. This version lasted almost six months, the longest held version to date.

The next version came in July of 2007. It was black, gray, and blue and Giratina was the featured Pokemon. This version was similar to Version 3; however, each page had a full navigation menu. This version saw the birth of Region Locale Information. This version wasn't very popular among members of the forum.

Version 6 came in mid-November of 2007. The Pokedex project was picked up again, but the Locale Information was put on hold. This version incorporated SSI.

The current version came at the end of January, 2008. The layout incorporated SSI, and buttons appeared advertising the Firefox browser. A new section is in the works involving universal Pokemon information. The skin of the forums was finally changed to closely match that of the site. Zapdos is the featured Pokemon.
