Route 9

Pokemon (Route 9): Rattata, Voltorb, Spearow, Sandshrew/Ekans
Pokemon (Rock Tunnel): Geodude, Machop, Onix, Zubat

Return to Cerulean City. Head east from the city and you'll find a new route blocked by a bush. Use the new Cut move on it. The path is straight forward so make your way through. Be sure to find TM30. Stop at the center and heal if you need to. Be sure to bring the Pokemon that knows Flash. Once inside Rock Tunnel, use it. You'll only need to use it once.

The first, second, and third floors are straight forward. On the fourth floor, head west and then north. You should come to a ladder if you did it right. THe final floor is straight forward also.

Once outside head right a little ways and "talk" to the tree. You'll find a Max Ether there. Then, head south to Lavender. There is not much to do here for now except heal and buy items. Head on west.

Route 8 & 7

Pokemon: Pidgey, Sandshrew/Ekans, Vilpux/Growlithe, Meowth, Bellsprout/Oddish

Remember the underground path from before? Well, there's another one. Find the building and follow the path to Route 7. OPnce here, head up and left to Celadon.

Celadon City

Pokemon: Eevee, Abra, Celfairy, Nidorino, Pinsir/Scyther?, Dratini, Porygon

First things first. Find the Poke Center and Mart. Do what you need to do there. Come back to the Poke-Center and take the path around it to the backdoor of the Celadon Mansion. If you take all the stairs you'll come to a Pokemon school. Grab the Pokeball and you now have Eevee!

A little ways south of the Pokemart is the Rocket Casino. Its the larger building of the two. Go inside to the back and you'll see a rocket facing the wall. Talk to him to engage battle.

-----------

Rocket
Pokemon: Raticate L. 20, Zubat L. 20
Prize: $600

Electric on Zubat, anything on Raticatr

-----------

Once he leaves, "talk" to the poster. You'll up a door in the wall. Enter it.

Celadon City -- Rocket Hideout

Before jumping down to the next floor, head down a little until you see some trees. The one on the lower right contains a PP Up. Return to the stairs heading down.

Behind the Rocket on this floor is another staircase. Because this floor has nothing special to it, take the stairs.

The floor puzzle here is a bit tricky. Head all the way left, down, and left again until you see the first one pointing left. Take it. Then hit the one going right. Head down and hit the fourth tile going right. If you did it right, you'll find yourself at a Rocket. He can be avoided, so continue on to the stairs.

Next floor contains a Rocket who ahs the lift key. Find him, defeat him, and he'll drop it. Return to the floor I told you to skip.

On This floor, just follow your instinct when hitting the tiles. Look ahead to see if you'll hit the right path. When to come to the end, find the door to the evelator. Once inside, "talk" to the control panel and select B4F. You'll be taken to Boss Rocket's room.

To open that door, you'll need to defeat both Rockets. Once they go down, enter the newly opened room and talk to the guy in back.

-----------

Giovanni
Pokemon: Onix L. 25, Rhyhorn L. 24, Kangaskhan L. 29
Prize: Sliph Scope, $2871

Water and leaf attacks can take out Rhyhorn and Onix. For Kangaskhan, try poisoning or paralzying it. Then, attack it with everything you have.

-----------

He'll drop the Sliph Scope when he leaves. Pick it up & use an escape rope to easily leave. Once outside, head for Lavender Town again.

Lavender Town -- Pokemon Tower

Pokemon: Ghastly, Haunter, Cubone

Heal if needed. Find the big tower and enter it. Head on up and guess who is here? Your Rival.

-----------

Gary
Pokemon: Pidgeotto L. 25, Exeggcute/Growlithe/Gyarados L. 23, Gyarados/Exeggcute/Growlithe L. 24, Kadabra L. 20, Charmeleon/Wartortle/Ivysaur L. 25
Prize: $3000
-----------

Continue on up. The floors are straight forward, so just battle your way to the top. Be sure to grab a Ghastly and the items about. On the third floor you will find a area where you can heal. Continue on. On the final floor, you'll encounter the ghost of a mother Marowak. You cannot catch it, only defeat it. Use leaf and water attacks.

On the next floor are three Rockets. They all use the same Pokemon as other Rockets so same as always. When they go down, talk to Mr. Fuji. He'll take you back to his place and give you the Pokeflute. This can be used to awaken Snorlax west and south of Lavender. Now head back to Celadon City.

Celadon City Gym

Located on the lowest left area in Celadon. You'll need cut here, so bring Pokemon that know it.

Pokemon that know Ice, Fire, or Flying type moves will work wonders here. If you need Ice moves, you can find TM13 ontop of Celadon Mart's rooftop by giving the little girl fresh water. Flying moves like Peck and Wing Attack are also good to use.

Head to the back of the room, and chop down the bush. Erika is the second one from the left. Talk to her to engage battle.

-----------

Erika

-----------

Now, with her down, its time to move on. Heal, buy items at the mart, and use any TMs you have.
