The Elite Four... As with all major "contests" like these in the world of Pokemon, some preparation is needed to help you through it. The Elite Four is powerful and can easily decimate a Lv. 70+ Blaziken. Yes, they can be that difficult. Some things to obtain before challenging them is:

- 20 to 60 Full Restores
- 20 to 30 Revives - Several Pokemon ranging from levels 45 to level 60.
- Pokemon that know Fire, Electric, Poison, Ice, Fighting, and Ground moves.

If you have these, you should be ready for them. Even with all the preparation, you can still lose. It's all the matter of keeping your cool and thinking clearly so you can make the right choices to win. Now, on with the strategies!

.:: Elite Four Sidney ::.

The first of the Elite Four is Sidney, the master of Dark type Pokemon in the Hoenn Region. All of his Pokemon are of the Dark type, and can be easily taken down with Fighting type moves. Shiftry and Cacturne can be taken with Flying or Fire moves, while Sharpedo can be taken down with Electric or Leaf moves alternatively.

.:: Elite Four Phoebe ::.

Phoebe is up next and is the authority of the Ghost type. Psychic won't work here, but it is reletively good to use. Ground type moves along with Ghost type moves are the key types of moves to use. If you have a Pokemon with the move Crunch, even better.

Watch out for Dusclops though, its Pressure ability makes you use 2 PP instead of one.

.:: Elite Four Glacia ::.

Glacia is the Agatha of the Hoenn Region, or she can be. Her Glalies are both weak against Fire, but so are her Sealeos and Walrien. For them, use Electric based moves or a couple of powerful Fire moves quickly as you can, or you'll see the power of Sheer Cold.

.:: Elite Four Drake ::.

Drake, like Lance, is the leader of the Elite Four and master of the dragon type. However, unlike Lance, he is incredibly easy to crush with an Ice Beam assault from a good leveled Pokemon that can learn the move.

.:: League Champion Steven ::.

Steven, the guy you met on your travels, turns out to be the League Champion and a master at Steel and Steel-esqued Pokemon. Aggron, Skarmory, and Metagross are all Steel type and can be taken out with heavy Fire based moves. Claydol and Armaldo can be taken out with Leaf and Water types. Cradily can be taken out with Poison or Fire type moves. Alot of healing or switching will be done with this battle.
